45+ Years Overdue
The 1978 Verona Master Plan, as well as subsequent Master Plans, have acknowledged the need for a relocated and updated Verona Police Department (VPD). The Verona Fire Department (VFD) and Verona Rescue Squad (VRS) are currently not up to code across many areas. Prior administrations have shied away, until now.

Residents of Verona were invited to join a presentation at the Community Center to learn about the proposed Emergency Services building, a critical initiative aimed to bring Verona’s aging emergency services facilities (Police, Fire & Rescue) up to code and enhance the safety and well-being of the community. During this presentation, residents were provided a first-hand look at how this project came to be, the goals, timing, how it will affect them as a residents as well as an opportunity to ask questions.
